Sergeant Doiron To Be Laid To Rest In Ottawa

Canada’s latest fallen soldier will be laid to rest tomorrow.

31 year old Sergeant Andrew Joseph Doiron died last Friday in a friendly fire incident in Iraq.

Funeral services are being held at 11 tomorrow morning in Ottawa, followed by a burial at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces.

The family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.

Doiron served three tours in Afghanistan, one in Africa, and he was deployed in Iraq as a Special Operator at the time of his death.

He is the first casualty in Canada’s mission against ISIS.
