A taxi driver being taken to hospital by ambulance with what police are calling moderate injuries after she was assaulted with a weapon in Saint John’s North end.
The assault happening near Kennedy Street when a man demanded money from her and she refused. SJPD Seargeant Jay Henderson says the suspect then ran off in the direction of Main Street North.
The suspect is described as being approximately 25-years-old with a skinny build and about 5’6″ tall. He has dark hair and a mustache and was wearing a brown leather jacket, jeans and a dark ball cap at the time of the attempted robbery and assault.
The Major Crime Unit is investigating.
