Canada will take on Switzerland for the gold medal at the World Women’s Curling Championship in Japan. Jennifer Jones led the way in defeating Russia 7-4 in the semi-final. Canada leads all countries with 15 gold medals at the world championships since 1979.
In NHL action tonight the Toronto Maple Leafs will try to play spoiler as they host the Ottawa Senators. The Senators are currently 3 points behind the Boston Bruins for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Canadiens play at home against the sharks, Boston will face off against Florida, Calgary hosts Columbus and Sydney Crosby and the penguins will take on the Coyotes.
