Halifax, unlike Saint John, has about 25 major construction projects happening right now, ranging from the Convention Center to multi-level residential developments.
Mayor Mel Norton, Jim Irving, and representatives from Waterfront Development were in Halifax trying to court developers to expand to the Port City. The Mayor says they were commended for taking the initiative with the meetings.
Irving told the developers that if they come to Saint John he’d be happy to have a coffee with them and discuss what opportunities are available here.
