Major Crime Looking Into Milford Blaze Early This Morning

The Major Crime Unit of the City police and Fire investigators are looking into a mobile home fire on Magnolia Street in Milford.

Division Chief Mark Wilson tells us got the call to respond to a fully involved vacant mobile home that had been under construction shortly after 4am. He says they tried to keep it from spreading.

He says it caused damage to the ceiling of a mobile home at 6 Magnolia Street and it was occupied.

Meanwhile, the cause of the fire on Pine Street yesterday appears to be electrical but fire investigators are still looking into it.

Wilson says working smoke detectors in the home alerted a mother and child who were able to get out safely.

Two adults and five kids currently displaced are being assisted by the Red Cross.
