Former Sea Dog Charlie Coyle scored his 11th goal of the season for the Wild…..Los Angeles snapped a two game losing streak with a 3-1 win over New Jersey but are still 4 points behind Winnipeg for the final wild card playoff spot in the West as the Jets beat Edmonton 4-1…..Corey Crawford made 43 saves as Chicago downs Carolina 3-1…..Ottawa moved one point ahead of Boston for the final wild card playoff berth in the East with a 5-2 win over San Jose….Calgary edged Colorado 3-2 and Dallas got by Buffalo 4-3.

In the NBA, James Harden, known as “The Beard”, scores 44 points as Houston beats Indiana 110-100….Chicago clinching a playoff berth with a 98-86 win over Charlotte. The Bulls are just percentage points behind the Raptors in the East.

Former NFL star Darren Sharper pleaded no contest Monday to drugging and raping two women in Los Angeles as part of a broader plea deal in four states that will send him to federal prison for nine years. He had faced up to 33 years in prison if convicted of all counts against him in California.

Running back Adrian Peterson wants out of Minnesota but the Vikings won’t let him go.
