A new programme is being launched with community policing in the city. It’s called the Neighbourhood Offender Management Strategy to deal with people who are getting into trouble time and time again.
Sergeant Jim Fleming says often there’s a reason why beyond someone just being bad and that’s what they want to find out and deal with the underlying cause.
The programme will also be focusing on young people who are deemed to be at risk.
