Wednesday Morning Sports For April 1st

Jeremy Gregoire’s goal with under five minutes remaining in the third period proved to be the winner as Baie-Comeau holds off the Sea Dogs 6-5, in Game 3 of their first round “Q” League playoff series. Game four goes tomorrow night at the Station.

In the NHL, Milan Lucic scored the tiebreaker with 1:09 left as Boston rallies to beat Florida 3-2 and maintain its hold on the eighth and final playoff spot in the East……Ottawa remains 3 points back of the Bruins after winning over Detroit in a shootout 2-1….Toronto upset Tampa Bay 3-1….The Rangers move one point ahead of Montreal in the East with a 3-2 win over Winnipeg…..Vancouver won its second straight, 5-4 over Nashville in a shootout….Washington doubled up on Carolina 4-2 and Columbus edged New Jersey 3-2.

At the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship in Halifax, Norway defeated Canada 9-3 to move into a first place tie with Canada at 6 and 1.

In the NBA, two of the top teams in the West faced eachother and Golden State defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 110-106.
