Spending Cuts Going Smoothly

The process of cutting 2 percent from department spending is going smoothly — that from provincial Finance Minister Blaine Higgs.


He tells CHSJ News it’s not about cutting services but rather reducing waste.


He says he wants a 1 percent reduction by March 31st of next year, which will result in about 60 million dollars in savings, and 2 percent savings on an annual basis.
