Saint Johners who want to help with the growing refugee crisis can give their time or their money.
The Saint John Regional Y is getting a lots of calls about how people can help so they will host two information sessions next month.
President and CEO Shilo Boucher tells CHSJ News people can support agencies like the UN Refugee Agency and the International Red Cross.
You can also help the refugees through the Y’s Newcomer connections program and the Convention for Atlantic Baptist churches who are working hard to place the refugees and give them the support that they need.
The info sessions October 14th and 22nd at 7pm will also explain more about refugee sponsorhship through government and private methods.
They will be held at the new Regional Y at 191 Churchill Boulevard.
