There’s going to be another traffic nightmare for drivers this morning but not with the Harbour Bridge.
This time it’s on the other side of the city on Highway 1 at the Rothesay Avenue overpass. Fire Department Platoon Chief Brian Wilson says a tractor trailer rolled onto its side and dumped half its load of wood chips, closing the highway in both directions.
Police say Gateway Operations is estimating it will be daylight at the earliest before everything is cleaned up.
Meantime, Police are also investigating a smash and grab that took place at Easyhome in Lansdowne Plaza. The front window was smashed out and a TV was stolen.
