Friday Morning Sports For September 25th

In the Majors, the Blue Jays were idle but the Yankees got a three run homer from Carlos Beltran for a 3-2 win over the Chicago White Sox and now trail Toronto by 3 games in the American League East. The Blue Jays begin a weekend series tonight against Tampa Bay.

In the West, Texas now leads Houston by 3 and a half games after an 8-1 win over Oakland.

In the NFL, the New York Giants won their first game of the season, 32-21 over Washington.

The lawyer for the woman who is accusing Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane of sexual assault has abruptly quit the case, saying he’s no longer comfortable representing her because of concerns over how the evidence bag was reportedly found by her mother. Kane’s lawyer says the case is tainted from one end to the other.

The Sea Dogs are in Charlottetown tonight. They also get four more players back from NHL training camps.
