The federal Conservatives have been hammering away at the Trudeau Government’s first federal budget because of the size of the deficit. They also charge there is no jobs plan.
Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long says the economy wasn’t going great guns when the Conservatives left power so spending on infrastructure is needed to get it going again. He argues the economy under the Harper Government was a one trick pony and when oil prices went down so did economic growth.
