Wayne Long says the argument between the City and Province over the Federal funding contribution is “unproductive”.
The MP for Saint John-Rothesay says he was surprised when he got to Ottawa that the funding wasn’t there and he calls the project extremely important to the community.
He says it’s not about laying blame or pitting one group against another but about working together to make sure we have a successful outcome.
Long says last July’s announcement did not include that the project had to be reviewed by the Feds to ensure eligibility.
