P.R.U.D.E. Inc launching a year long fundraising campaign aiming to bring in $100, 000 to help with their local expenses.
Executive Director Jocelyn Stevens says they have a school coordinator who provides a workshop called Respecting Differences.
She says their coordinator goes into the middle and high schools several times a week to put on this workshop.
Stevens says the students respond very well adding they learn how to respond positively to cultural stereotypes.
P.R.U.D.E. stands for Pride of Race, Unity, Dignity through Education. The programs offered in schools and other locations do receive some support from all three levels of government.
