Hurricane Joquin’s Latest Track

The Canadian Hurricane Centre says there are two possible tracks for Hurricane Joquin over the next few days.

One track sees Joquin move into the Carolinas which would bring rain to Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada but the other track, which appears more likely, would see the hurricane go far offshore from Atlantic Canada.

The Weather Network’s tracking shows Joquin veering off the coast south of Nova Scotia.

Accuweather is reporting that based on current observations and model trends, Hurricane Joquin will turn more North than Northeast later in the weekend as the ridge to the northeast of the storm weakens. Odds currently favor the core of the storm tracking just far enough south and east of the Maritimes early next week to not have that much of an effect.
