Fire crews in Saint John responded to a few calls overnight.
Around 10pm, a fire and carbon monoxide detector were going off at the Hurley Arena out East. The building was evacuated, and when crews investigated they found that the doors were open and fumes from cars idling in the parking lot had entered the building. The arena was ventilated and everyone was allowed back in.
At around 11pm, crews were then called to 170 Molson Avenue where they found smoke throughout a residence from a fire on the stove. One man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation then taken to the Regional to be checked out.
