The province is dropping the ball when it comes to instituting the Pay Equity Act of 2009.
That’s according to the Executive Director of the Coalition for Pay Equity, Johanne Perron.
She says the act applies to the entire public sector, including Crown corporations.
“According to the Pay Equity Bureau only half the bargaining units are completed now, and non-unionized workers in Crown Corporations may not even have started,” says Perron.
Perron says some groups who have completed the process haven’t seen a single adjustment.
