Tuesday Morning Sports For October 13th

In the Majors, the Blue Jays tying Texas at 2 games each with an 8-4 win after hitting three homers in their first 8 times at bat……The fifth and deciding game will be played late tomorrow afternoon with Cole Hamels pitching for Texas against Marcus Stroman for the Blue Jays.

Kansas City scored 7 runs in the last two innings for a 9-6 win over Houston to tie that playoff up at two games each.

In the National League, the Chicago Cubs hit six homers for an 8-6 win over St. Louis and a 2 games to 1 lead. The New York Mets stormed back after trailing 3-0 for a 13-7 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers as Curtis Granderson drove in 5 runs and now lead 2 games to 1.

In the NFL, Pittsburgh finished an 80 yard drive by scoring from the one yard line as time expires to give the Steelers a 24-20 win over San Diego.

In the NHL, the Bruins gave up a 2 goal lead and lost to Tampa Bay 6-3…….Vancouver got by Anaheim 2-1…..Philadelphia shut out Florida 1-0……The Islanders doubled up on Winnipeg 4-2 and Buffalo downed Columbus 4-2.

New Brunswick won the under 14 hockey championship at the Atlantic Challenge Cup with a 4-0 win over Nova Scotia
