The Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue League getting a big surprise from Honda…….a brand new vehicle.
The gift being made to mark the official opening of the Fundy Honda dealership on Rothesay Avenue.
Melody McElman, Board President of the animal shelter, had no idea Honda was planning to do this and she calls it unbelievable. McElman says more is being expected of the SPCA these days with pet overpopulation remaining a problem, mainly cats. She isn’t worried about reports of rabies moving closer to Saint John from Charlotte Countyh with a case recently discovered in Pennfield.
McElman says getting a new vehicle could not have come at a better time since the one they’re now using is on its last legs.
