7 thousand schoolchildren in the Saint John region at more than 50 schools will start growing marigolds this week for planting in June. The theme of the project this year is bright colours.
Marigolds on Main founder Barry Ogden says this is also a crucial time for birds after the winter because this is when they start their families so he’s urging people to get their bird boxes ready outside.
Ogden says by doing this, you can contribute to increasing the number of songbirds in the city which improves the quality of our lives.
