The Saint John Regional Y seeking a lot more support for the Strong Kids program partly because of the influx of Syrian Refugees.
President and CEO Shilo Boucher tells CHSJ News another reason is because of their new facility they can now double the number of people they can serve.
She says the Syrian children and their famillies are using all aspects of the Y.
Boucer says they need recreation and to connect with the community adding it’s a great way to learn english and meet new people.
She says mind, body and spirit is what the Y is all about.
Boucher says it’s easy for famillies to get involved in the Strong Kids program.
