Be prepared for a lot of rain heading our way this weekend according to a special weather statement issued by Environment Canada.
It warns a new low pressure system will bring a prolonged period of rain to New Brunswick starting Friday night. Torrential rain is likely over many regions of the province, especially over southern regions Saturday into Sunday.
Rainfall amounts of around 50 millimeters are expected with the possibility of the Fundy region receiving more than 100 millimeters.
There are fears what effect this additional rain will have on river levels.
