A Milder Winter Is Being Forecast

Accuweather has released its winter forecast for Atlantic Canada.

Brett Anderson of Accuweather is forecasting a milder winter for southern New Brunswick through Prince Edward Island and the reason for that is the higher than normal temperature of the waters off the Atlantic coast which tend to have a modifying effect.

He warns there can be a downside to the warmer water because that can also generate extreme stroms.

Anderson still expects near normal precipitation, at this point, in the form of rain and snow but not so much ice.
