A Slew Of Wildfires Over The Weekend

There’s still a province wide ban on burning because the ground is dry and firefighters in the southern part of the province had to deal with an estimated 17 wildfires through the weekend. A water bomber was used in St. George to help quell a fire that burned 12 hectares.

City firefighters also responded to several brush and grass fires including a couple late yesterday afternoon on Anglin Drive and behind Champlain Heights School.
