Aces Not Renewing Head Coach Contract For 2018-19 Season

Our Jr. A Hockey team is currently coach-less.

The St. Stephen Aces have decided not to renew the contract of their head coach and general manager, Phil Richer, for the 2018-2019 season.

In a statement, Vice President of Hockey operations, Chris Horne said, “Our organization is committed to developing a successful team in St. Stephen, and we feel in order to do that we need to move in another direction regarding our leadership”.

Richer was originally hired last season as assistant coach and assistant general manager, but took over for then-head coach Josh Hepditch when he left the team for another coaching position with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The St. Stephen Aces are not shutting down amid financial issues, and are now accepting resumes for the head coach position.
