Affordable Housing Development Closer To Final Approval

A proposed affordable housing unit in Saint John is one step closer to receiving its final approval.

Common Council unanimously approved the first and second reading of a rezoning application for the proposed affordable housing development in Millidgeville last week.

The application is for a 12-unit affordable housing development, located at 100 Boars Head Road, which was a former recycling depot.

If the rezoning application receives final approval, the land would go from Utility Service to Mid-Rise Residential.

The proposed development will have units ranging from one bedroom to three bedrooms.

The application will head back to council at a later date.
