Air quality renewal process for Lake Utopia Paper

You can have your say on the air quality approval renewal for a Charlotte County pulp and paper mill.

The province has started the 180-day public participation process for J.D. Irving’s Lake Utopia Paper.

It produces about 500 tonnes per day of finished corrugating medium paper product from hardwood chips and recycled cardboard.

The current approval expires on Dec. 12, the province said in a news release on Wednesday.

More information on the public participation process is available through the Department of Environment and Local Government.
