The Street Crime Unit have arrested a 26 year old man for drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
His vehicle was stopped on Wellesley Avenue in Saint John at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Stephen Corey Richard attempted to run from police but was arrested after a short foot chase.
Police seized just over 16 grams of crack with a street value estimated at over $3,200 and a quantity of cash.
Richard made a Court Appearance this morning and is facing charges of possessing cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, obstructing a peace officer and proceeds of crime.
