Provincial Liberal leader Brian Gallant is calling for more transparency in how the provincial government goes about its business.
Gallant says the Alward Government is lagging way behind other provinces when it comes to openness, saying New Brunswickers can get the results of restaurant inspections but not daycare inspections.
The provincial Liberals haven’t gone into detail on why they are not allowing Moncton City Councillor Daniel Bourgeois to run for them in the provincial election. Gallant says he supports that decision although he’s remaining at arm’s length from the selection process.
