Another price spike for N.B fuel

You’ll need to dig deeper beneath the couch cushions for loose change, and hope for a loonie or two as gas prices continue to rise.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board made weekly price adjustments early Friday morning.

The maximum for regular self-serve fuel rose another 7.8 cents a litre to around $1.91.

We’re seeing increases for diesel and furnace oil as well, with prices up 4.6 cents a litre.

Diesel is now at a maximum of around $2.25.

Furnace oil prices hit a maximum of around $2.24.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.

In Nova Scotia, maximum regular self-serve prices currently range from about $1.91 to $1.96 per litre, while diesel is selling for between $2.15 and $2.19 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the maximum prices are currently $1.96 a litre for regular self-serve, $2.31 per litre for diesel and about $1.72 per litre for home heating oil.
