AREA 506 Festival expands to four days with headliners Soul Asylum, Marianas Trench & The Glorious Sons

The AREA 506 Waterfront Festival is returning to Saint John for its 11th annual celebration, and for the first time, expanding to four full days. Taking place over the New Brunswick Day long weekend, the 2026 edition will run from Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2, transforming Water Street and the Saint John waterfront into the biggest music event of the summer.

Headline performances by Soul Asylum, Marianas Trench, The Glorious Sons, and The Dead South anchor a diverse lineup that spans rock, indie, folk, alternative, and pop.

Festival passes officially went on sale today, March 26th at 5 p.m. exclusively at area506.ca.

2026 Main Stage Lineup

Each night of the festival features a packed Main Stage schedule showcasing international headliners, Canadian favourites, and strong representation from New Brunswick and Atlantic Canadian artists.

Four Days on the Waterfront

Known for blending live music, local culture, food, and community, AREA 506 has grown into one of Atlantic Canada’s premier festivals. This year’s new Thursday kickoff extends the traditional weekend lineup and allows fans more time to experience both the music and the award‑winning AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village.

The Village — winner of the VIA Rail Canada Innovator of the Year Award at the 2022 Canadian Tourism Awards — will once again host a full program of family‑friendly activities, pop‑ups, food trucks, and an always‑popular vendor market throughout the weekend.

Ticket Options and Pricing

AREA 506 is offering a range of ticketing options for 2026, including general admission, VIP, and — new this year — 10‑person VIP Cabanas, available in very limited quantities.

Weekend Passes

  • Early Bird Weekend Pass: $299
  • Regular GA Weekend Pass: Starting at $349 (tiered pricing begins April 1 or when Early Birds sell out)
  • VIP Weekend Pass: $799 (19+ only)

Additional Options

  • Single‑day GA and VIP tickets (available April 1)
  • New two‑day GA passes (available April 1)
  • Free general admission for children 12 and under when accompanied by an adult

All pricing is exclusive of taxes and fees. Payment plans are available, allowing festival‑goers to spread the cost over time.
