Army Reserve Training In The Sussex Area

The Canadian Army Reserve will be training in the Sussex area over the coming days.

Members of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s) will be training until Thursday.

“This training is a vital part of maintaining national readiness in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve,” the Canadian Armed Forces said in a news release.

Officials say the training will mostly take place on Department of National Defence property, but local residents can expect to see uniformed troops in town during the training.

Residents might also hear loud bangs as simulated munitions are deployed as part of the training.
