Arrest made after break-in at Saint John business

Saint John police arrested a 44-year-old man following a weekend break-in at a business.

Officers responded to an alarm call in the 1200 block of Sandy Point Road just after 3 a.m. Sunday.

“It was alleged that the alarm was triggered by an individual who was inside the location and did not have the proper code to deactivate the alarm,” police said in a news release on Monday.

Arriving officers located a man inside and took him into custody without incident.

He was later released on an undertaking and is due to appear in court in September.

Police said no damages were reported and nothing appeared to have been stolen.
