Arrest Made After Man Robbed In Uptown Saint John

An arrest has been made in an armed robbery in the parking lot of the Central Baptist Church on Leinster Street.

Saint John police say that it was around 11pm on Wednesday a man was accosted with a gun and he was robbed of his phone and some money.

The Major Crime Unit was called in to investigate and in the morning the suspect was spotted by police in the uptown and they chased him on foot before arresting him.

A 23-year-old man is going to appear in court on Thursday morning to face robbery-related charges.
