Arrest made following Saint John break-and-enter

Saint John police say have arrested a 46-year-old man following a break-and-enter at an apartment in the city.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a man breaking into an apartment on Wright Street around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

They believe the suspect gained access to the residence by breaking off the front door knob.

After surrounding the location, police arrested a 46-year-old man who was found hiding in a bed under the blankets.

The Saint John Police Force says details concerning the break-and-enter are still under investigation.

However, the man was charged with being at large while on a release order. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
