More proof that age is just a number.
At the World Masters Track & Field Championships Canadian and world records have been broken by athletes in their seventies all weekend.
Organizer Bill MacMackin tells CHSJ news Christa Bortignon from BC set a world record in the pentathlon for her age group of 75. There’s also been Canadian bests for javelin, race/walks, and others.
Today is the last day of events that feature athletes from around the world over the ages of thirty at the Canada Games Stadium.
