Atlantic Bubble Has One New COVID-19 Case

Only one new case of COVID-19 is being reported in the Atlantic bubble today and once again it’s in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Public Health says the case is a woman in her 20s who is a close contact of the province’s other COVID-19 case reported on Tuesday which was travel-related.

Officials say those who were in close contact with this individual are self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.

No new cases of COVID-19 are being reported in the Maritimes today.

New Brunswick is down to three active cases – one in the Moncton region and two in the Fredericton region.

Meantime, Public Health says an outbreak is officially over at a long-term care home in the Campbellton region.

Officials say it has been 28 days, or two COVID-19 incubation periods, since the last case.

Prince Edward Island has two active cases while Nova Scotia has only one.
