The Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association has a new Executive Director.
Susan Farquharson has more than two decades of experience in the environmental non-profit sector.
She has worked for many organizations including the New Brunswick Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture, and the Canadian Water Network.
Farquharson says salmon farming is an incredibly dynamic, diverse and ever-evolving industry that plays an important role in sustainable communities.
She adds growing this sector is an important part of a diversified economic base for rural communities that helps to meet the growing demand for quality protein.
