An iconic business that’s been in the Port City for nearly fifty years and in New Brunswick for 155 years is hosting an official grand store reopening this weekend.
Gilliane Nadeau of Uncorked Tours describes herself as the ringleader for all of this, saying she’s pulled together all the partners on the tourism side and all of the retail accounts as well. The newest addition is the Saint John tour desk, the store also features a small museum display, local retail, a coffee bar and a visitor information centre.
The event is on Saturday with doors opening at 9am and the public is invited. There will be samples of Barbour’s Iced Tea, Ganong Chocolates, Chicken Bones, Cape Breton Oatcakes, and Covered Bridge Chips.
Barbours had been closed since the end of the last cruise ship season. The store will remain open until November 3.
