As several communities deal with flooding, New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization is reminding people to have an emergency kit on hand.
Spokesperson Geoffrey Downey says it should include two litres of water per person each day, as well as non-perishable food.
Downey says you should have enough supplies to last at least 72 hours — or three days.

“Depending on how severe an incident is, emergency officials might not be able to reach you as quickly as you’d like. There might be lots of people in a similar circumstance so getting to you is difficult,” he said.
Your kit should also have cash, candles and matches, as well as a crank or battery-powered flashlight and radio.
Other items to think about include prescription medication, pet food and supplies, as well as baby food and supplies.
Downey says one item which tends to get forgotten is a printed copy of emergency contacts.
“Everyone depends on their phones these days. I don’t know if everyone else is like me, but I can’t remember a phone number anymore. If my phone goes dead, I have no way of remembering how to phone people.”
