The snow has ended but will be replaced by biting wind chills Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Environment Canada says as Tuesday’s low pressure system pulls away from the province, northwesterly winds will develop and temperatures will drop well below the freezing mark.
“This will give windchill values possibly lower than minus 30 for the northwest tonight into early Wednesday morning, and near minus 25 for the rest of New Brunswick,” the weather agency said in a special weather statement.

The low will reach -14°C in Saint John on Tuesday night, but wind gusts up to 60 kilometres per hour will make it feel like -25.
Places like Woodstock, Grand Falls and Campbellton will see wind chill values closer to -32.
Forecasters say the wind will die down Wednesday afternoon, which is good news because Wednesday night’s low temperatures could reach -20°C in the Saint John area and -29°C in parts of northwestern New Brunswick.
