Bloomfield Bridge Closed For Repairs

Drivers looking to cross the Kennebecasis River in Bloomfield will need to find another route.

Kennebecasis River Bridge #3 on Bloomfield Station Road is closed for repairs, according to a traffic advisory from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.

The advisory says the closure will remain in place until Friday, May 29, adding detour signs are in place.

Drivers will have to go to either Norton or Hampton to cross the river.

According to the department’s website, the one-lane bridge was built in 1912.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story said the bridge would be closed until the end of the year, based on information on the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure’s website. The department has since changed it to May 29.
