Body Of Missing Man Recovered From Petitcodiac River

The body of a missing 25-year-old Moncton man has been recovered from the banks of the Petitcodiac River.

Codiac RCMP say officers made the discovery Wednesday morning near Assomption and Vaughan Harvey Boulevards.

Police received information from someone who thought they saw him in that area on the night he went missing.

Stephane Leandre Leger was reported missing by his family on Monday and had last been seen in the Robinson Court area of downtown Moncton early Sunday.

Police are not suspecting foul play but an autopsy will be conducted to find out what happened.
