Body Of PEI Teen Recovered In Waters Near Alberton

RCMP have confirmed they have located the body of a teen missing after a boat capsized near Alberton, PEI.

The 17-year-old was found yesterday afternoon.

Three teens went out fishing on Wednesday night, when their boat flipped over.

One teen made it to shore, but the other two did not.

An extensive search by the Joint Rescue Coordination centre lasted over 20 hours, before it was suspended.

Friends and family and other community members continue to search.

Officials say their hope is to locate the second 17-year-old teen before the storm arrives tomorrow.
