Boil Water Order Ends In Saint Andrews

Residents in Saint Andrews will no longer need to boil their water before consuming it.

A boil water order for customers on the town’s water distribution system has been lifted, the town said Sunday.

The Department of Health issued the order Thursday after an alarm malfunction caused water levels in the town’s reservoirs to drop significantly, leading to a loss of pressure within the distribution system.

“This is a routine precaution when the water level waters within the reservoirs have dropped,” the town said Thursday.

After the tanks were filled, town officials needed to conduct testing on two separate days before the boil order could be lifted.
