Boil water order ends in Saint John neighbourhood

A boil water order that was in effect for a Saint John neighbourhood has been lifted, the city announced Monday.

Residents and businesses in the Harbourview Subdivision, off Red Head Road, had been under the order since Thursday.

City officials said an infrastructure failure led to low chlorine levels, which could have led to there being bacteria in the water.

If you have been away and not using your water, it is recommended that you turn on each of your taps for a few minutes to flush out the old water.
