The boil water order that disrupted daily routines in Saint John’s Forest Hills neighbourhood has been lifted.
Saint John Water says the water is safe to use again for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth.
The advisory was put in place during watermain replacement work along McAllister Drive, based on guidance from the Department of Health.
If you’ve been using your water over the past few days, you don’t need to do anything else.
But if you’ve been away and haven’t used your taps, it’s a good idea to run each one for a few minutes, according to Saint John Water.
This helps flush out any water that’s been sitting in your pipes and brings in fresh water from the system.
Additional details are available, including a map of the affected area and updates on the project.
