Seven people are dead after a terrorist attack in London, England.
London Metro Police confirmed the deaths, and at least 48 people were injured after a vehicle struck pedestrians on London Bridge Saturday night.
Commissioner Cressida Dick says the vehicle continued on to Borough Market after hitting people on the bridge.
She says three suspects then left the vehicle, and a number of people were stabbed.
Dick emphasized her pride on the quick response by the police and other emergency services.
“We were able to respond to this incident extremely quickly, within literally 8 minutes, we were already at a very high level of alertness, “Severe” means an attack is highly likely, and the threat level was at “Severe,” says Dick.
She adds the suspects were shot and killed by police.
