Justice Grant adjourns scheduling of trial date until after Crown learns outcome of application to Supreme Court of Canada #Oland.

We won’t know when Dennis Oland’s second murder trial will be begin until the Supreme Court hears an appeal relating to his conviction being overturned, if they choose to hear the case.
The prosecution telling Mr. Justice William Grant they could be ready for a September trial.
The prosecution also wants to appeal the New Brunswick Court of Appeal ruling from October that overturned the guilty verdict that came down in December of 2015.
The Supreme Court doesn’t necessarily have to hear the appeal.
Defence lawyer Gary Miller says a proposed September trial date is “completely unrealistic” and a “bit premature” given the matters going on in another court.
